![]() ![]() This has been a serious issue with the game since launch and the devs have failed to find a proper fix for it to this day yet they are forcing all players to run at a locked 144 hz framerate whereas before you were able to set any range from 60 to 240 fps frame caps. ![]() So now, devs are forcing 144 hz for all players which is greatly effecting a lot of single PC streamers ability to provide a descent stream quality for their viewers as Apex Legends does not leave enough GPU headroom for OBS to composite the scenes and capture the frames of your game optimally. This latest update for Apex however (early june 2019) removed the players ability to set a locked framerate using the launch options via the origin game launcher software. The game itself is not very well optimized in windows as well as the nvidia driver side so a lot of single PC streamers had to lock their frames around 60 to 80 fps in order for OBS to have enough headroom to maintain a consistent 60 FPS and prevent Apex from hogging up too much of your GPU resources. If you are running the game in 1080p then you shouldn't have to cap your frames too hard in order to be able to get good performance and stream quality out of your current system (having all settings on low is recommended if you are a single PC streamer). Most "pros" like Dizzy and Mendo still run their game at 1080p. ![]() Are you playing the game in 1080p or 1440p? You failed to mention what resolution you use in-game. ![]()
